Site-specific light installation
Outside Outside (Green Monitor) is an urban light installation project made to display the unused space from urban sprawl in Metropolitan Bangkok. The site of installation is an abandoned plot of land adjacent to a highway.
The installation utilise a square profile beam of light to accentuate and define a frame of observation in an otherwise overlooked space. It is a visual intervention that connect the people to urban elements at night other than billboards and direct to patches of nature that sprinkle the city.
The existing patch of overgrown and gigantic trees that move along to the gentle wind combined with light that excludes the frame from its surrounding become a passive live installation, providing the people in traffic a calming sight. It can be seen as a painting without canvas out of the conventional gallery setting or a window looking outside to the space that is already outside.
